Dolores Palos’ Obituary

Dolores Palo (née Mastenpassed away peacefully in the hospitalon Wednesday, August 29th in Doylestown, PA at the age of 86.

Dolores was the beloved mother of the late Valentine (Barbara) of Warrington, William (Carol) of Doylestown, Angela of Jamison, and Francis (Marianne) of HorshamShe is preceded in death by her husband Valentine. She was loving Grandmother to VickiLynne, Joshua (Cynthia), Robin, Jeremy (Kassandra), Brett, Nicholas, Jeffrey (Amanda), Matthew, Joseph, Steven, and William II.  She was the loving great-grandmother of Christian, Talia, Hannah, Logan, Samantha and Valentine.

Dolores was born on October 14th, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA to William and Mafalda Masten (née Jannotta)Shemarried Valentinehome from the Army, in 1946. Over 13 years in Philadelphia and Warminster, the couple welcomed 4 children, andin the many years following11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildrenHer later years were spent living with her daughter Angela and grandson William.  Her children remember her as a kind and patient mother who encouraged them to love their family and pursue their goals.  

Dolores was accomplished at crafting and often made blankets for the births of her grandchildrenShe was a generous individual who loved to travel.  She was an active and dedicated member of the Church and spent countless days and trips with her friends in the Seniors.

Above all else, Dolores valued her family.  She gave all of herself to her family and cherished every holidayconversation over coffee, and phone calls together with them. Over the week in the hospital, Dolores was surrounded day and night by family. One of the last things she said to her family when asked if she loved her children, she replied “Of course I love you. You are my family, and nothing is more important than my family.” She will be missed by all.

A viewing is planned for Friday, August 31st at Angelone Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove.  A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, September 1st at St. Cyril’s in Jamison with a burial at Holy Sepulcher in Cheltenham. The reception will follow at Villa Barolo in Warrington. All are welcome to attend and celebrateDoloress life.
